How to Recognize a TH?
Recognizing a Treasure Hunt (TH) is crucial for any collector, as they are a rare but more common find than a Super Treasure Hunt (STH).
The two main ways to spot a regular Treasure Hunt are:
1. The Card Art (Silver Flame Logo)
-
What to Look For: On the cardboard backing directly behind the car, look for a small, circular silver flame logo (it will appear faint or hidden within the card graphics). This is the official marker for a regular Treasure Hunt.
-
Action: Quickly scan the card art in the blister pack for this symbol. It is subtle and can be easily missed if the card is damaged or poorly lit.
2. The Car Body (Hidden "TH" Silver Logo Mark)
-
What to Look For: Somewhere on the car's body or graphics, there will be a hidden, tiny "TH" silver model logo. This logo is usually cleverly incorporated into the car's decals.
-
Action: Scan the hood, roof, or sides of the car's casting for this small inscription.
Key Distinctions from an STH:
A regular Treasure Hunt uses the same materials as a standard Mainline car, meaning you will not find the upgraded features of an STH:
-
Paint: THs use standard Mainline paint (not the deep, glossy Spectraflame finish).
-
Wheels: THs use standard hard plastic wheels (not the Real Riders rubber tires).
In short: If you find a Mainline car with the silver flame on the card and the "TH" silver flame logo on the body, but it has plastic wheels, you have found a Treasure Hunt.
