About the Author
I’ve been a diecast car enthusiast since the 1990s. Like many kids, I collected small cars with the childlike passion. I even had that childhood “entrepreneur spirit,” selling seashells on the beach in summer just to make a little bit of money for some extra ice cream.
Life eventually moved me in other directions, and in my twenties I sold my original collection of around 300 cars. But in May 2016, I picked up a blue Tesla Model S in a supermarket - and just like that, the fire was back. Since then, my collection has grown to around 700 models, with a special focus on Audis, Ferraris, and other castings that inspire me.
Outside of collecting, I’m a mechanical engineer (M.Sc.) who has spent over 10 years working in sales. That background gave me the tools to understand customers, build long-term relationships, and recognize real value - skills I’ve applied directly to my Hot Wheels journey.
As my collection grew, I faced the same problem many collectors have: how to organize and track it all. I tried Instagram, Excel, phone galleries, Instagram, even just memory - nothing worked.
